Project Entropy can be installed on PC through Steam or through FunPlus's own PC client download page, and both routes end at the same account system. Here is what to expect at each step.
Choosing Steam or the FunPlus client
The Steam release (available on the Steam store) is the simpler route if you already use Steam for library management and updates. FunPlus also offers a direct PC client download from its own site for players who would rather not use Steam. Both install the same game and connect to the same account system, so the choice is purely about which launcher you would rather manage updates through.
Account linking is required before you can play
Project Entropy requires signing in with a Google or Facebook account and agreeing to FunPlus's EULA — there is no anonymous guest mode on PC. If you plan to also play on mobile, use the same linked account on both to keep progress in sync; if you want your PC progress kept fully separate, use a dedicated account you do not use on mobile.
Common install issues
- Stuck on first launch: most first-launch hangs are the client silently downloading additional assets in the background; give it several minutes on a stable connection before assuming it has frozen.
- Login loop after linking an account: sign out of the linked Google or Facebook account in your browser, then retry the in-game login prompt fresh rather than re-clicking it repeatedly.
- Progress not appearing after reinstall: this almost always means you signed in with a different Google or Facebook account than the one your original progress is linked to — double-check which account you are signed into before contacting support.
Redeeming gift codes
Once you are in and past the early tutorial, you can redeem promotional gift codes (posted periodically on FunPlus's official Discord) by tapping your avatar in the top-center of the screen, opening Settings, selecting the Basic tab, and scrolling to Gift Codes. Codes are case-sensitive and expire quickly, and rewards are delivered to your in-game Mailbox, which unlocks after completing Chapter 3 of the story.
